This leicester bet
..the one that got settled last night cashing out at £72,000 on a £50 bet at the start of the season - easy to say what you would have done- but what exactly would you have done?

I find it strange that right now the bet got cashed out- they are arguably stronger than ever and there's still a long way to go - remember the win was worth £250,000...

Surely it would have made more sense to lay the bet and hold on?

I always think in deal or no deal you have to go on there with a figure in your head if what you want and just take that if its offered

I guess that's what this guy has done here

Different amounts of money can hold different importance to each individual.

Like Deal or no deal.

Maybe he has £70k or £80k eft on his mortgage and that's life changing enough not to risk any further?

I'd probably brick it too and cash out at a certain amount.

Did well to hold on as long as he did (I'd gave probably cashed out before the man city/Arsenal games) but they have Newcastle at home on Monday surely you'd hold out til after that?!

hard to fault someone who has made $71950 in profit in a year without doing a thing. You can argue all you want about what he's given up, but they still have a ways to go and can probably enjoy the ride a little more regardless of what happens.

He cashed out before Leicester played away to Watford.

If they had lost at Watford then what would it of dropped down to?

Sensible really as we all know that Watford away can be tricky!!

Bloke supports Leicester - who hasn't put a overoptimistic bet on West Ham winning something? Supporting a team means a degree of logic goes out the window when you stick a bet on although this is an extreme case.

I'd have probably cashed out weeks ago. His holding his nerve is almost as amazing as Leicester sitting top of the league.

I wonder if there'll be a small part of him that doesn't want Leicester to go on and win it now, knowing how much more he could have won.

You could only lay it on betfair if you have it on the account. If he's had a bullseye with ladbrokes he would need to have £50,000 on the account if he was laying that amount off on betfair
